Feira da Ladra (Flea Market) - Vieira do Minho
The name of the feast is said to date back to the time when the inhabitants of the villages had to walk to the fair with the help of a stick in a pitchfork shape, which they used for "stealing" some grapes from the fields along the way. That stick was soon given the name 'ladra', and some time after it was adopted to name this fair.
With an age-old tradition, this event is visited by thousands of people willing to take part in its several activities, among which you can find music shows, fireworks, folklore, equestrian competitions, exhibitions and cattle contests, street vendors, food and drink, and of course the traditional fair of local products.
'Feira da Ladra' is a fair for all ages and people!
