The strong waves breaking here ensure the beach attracts plenty of surfers. In the far north of these sands lies Dunas Mar Beach flanked by a long cordon of dunes creating an impressive backdrop. The sea, abundant with fish, is sought out by sports fishermen.
To the south of Francelos Beach come the Francemar and Sãozinha Beaches, taking their names from the cafes operating there.
