Maritime beach
Situated to the west of Albufeira, Praia dos Arrifes is one of the smallest beaches in the municipality. This small cove is sheltered from the wind by low, interestingly shaped cliffs where one can see some potholes, which are typical of this region. The great expanse of sand is overlooked by three imposing rocks, which give the beach its other name - Três Penecos.
Access to the beach is via some wooden steps, and there is an unpaved car park in the surrounding pine woods.
