Hotel Pombalense
Hotel Pombalense is located in the centre of Portugal around 150Km from Porto and Lisboa (1,5 h by car on the highway/motorway), between Coimbra and Leiria, surrounded by others important national roads (only at 2,5 h to Spain in the direction of Salamanca / Madrid by IC8) and railway which connect the city to the rest of the country. In the heart of the city which remote back to the medieval times, within walking distance from the hotel you can enjoy the historical down town with museum, churches, the castle, outdoor markets (Every week on Monday and Thursday). The biweekly market with the fish from our coast and the fresh vegetables from the local farmers.
You can visit beautiful places where you can enjoy the nature in the mountain (Sicó Mountain) or by the sea and taste the good traditional cheese (Rabaçal Cheese). Due to our excellent location, you can easily visit other places near to Pombal such as Fátima, Leiria, Batalha, Alcobaça, Tomar, Coimbra, Figueira da Foz, Aveiro, Conimbriga and Rabaçal Roman Ruins among others, and also to see and listen the good traditional songs of Fado and Foclore if you like (for groups only). We have a cosy Bar and a good Restaurant (Palomino’s) where you can taste traditional Portuguese gastronomy.
