Beach Shuttle, a new circuit to the beach
Visiting the Caparica Coast and its world famous beaches has become easier with the Beach Shuttle.
This connection from the capital launched by Yellow Bus, a Carristur tourism brand, is used to show one of the most popular beach areas in the region of Lisbon, the Caparica Coast. It is the perfect combination between good weather, great waves and the excellent beach front restaurants.
The circuit is done on a 50 seat bus, from Monday to Friday. Surf boards, paddles or body boards, parasols, balls, rackets and other essential objects can be brought along for a fun filled day at the beach.
With departures from the Praça da Figueira, in Lisbon, this circuit will be operated as a round trip system with three schedules: the first departs at 10 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m., the second departs at noon and returns at 6 p.m. and the third departs at 3 p.m. and returns at 6 p.m. and the return time is mandatory.
During the trip several emblematic spots can be seen such as the 25 de Abril Bridge and the Cristo Rei (Christ the King). The breathtaking views over the Tejo River and the urban renewal of the Caparica Coast Beaches´ Urban Front set the tone of this new, comfortable and efficient transportation experience.
