Surrounded by an area classified as part of Natura 2000, the Azenhas River Beach is located in the heart of the Coura River, in a setting known for its cool temperature and great beauty where the “Azenhas” (from the Portuguese word for “mill”) that give it its name lend it a picturesque note. The beach, which is also close to a Roman bridge, has support facilities and good conditions for water sports.
