The Bathing Area of Poças da Ribeira Grande is a diversified recreational area with good amenities. Besides the sandy open sea bathing area with basalt seafloor, this is a complex of pools with a varied offering, including the largest pool, which is 25 metres in length, a diving pool, as well as a pool for children and another for toddlers (which is the only fresh water pool).
