Quinta do Vale do Monte
Situated in a valley where there was once a small sand hill called Monte da Ola and near the Atlantic Ocean, Quinta do Vale do Monte is the perfect place for an unforgettable holiday. The property is in both the parishes of darque and Mazarefes, because the stone marker which divides the two can be seen next to the old store house. In the past, Darque was a small old Minho village which one had to pass through travelling from Viana do Castelo to Oporto or vice versa.
The house was rebuilt at the start of the last century by a traditional architect from the area and was further extended in the 1940's. Nearby there are annexes and an old house used by the farmer workers. The "Quinta" is about 3 hectares in area, 6 Km from Amorosa Beach.
Quinta do Vale do Monte provides visitors a delightful holiday in family atmosphere. Besides the six cosy bedrooms, there is also a living room where, on cold days, you can warm yourself in front of the open fire. The is also a comfortable game room and other places for enjoyment and relaxation including a swimming poll. Bedrooms have private bathroom, and central heating.
