The Zambeze restaurant, located between ‘Largo do Caldas’ and ‘S.Jorge’ castle, offers an exquisite view the ‘Tejo’ river and downtown Lisbon. The restaurant is set on the top floor of the former market ‘Chão do Loureiro', restored and adapted by EMEL, into a modern multifunctional car park with 195 parking spaces. The restaurant combines the best regional cuisine of Central Portugal, with the unique and intense African flavors.

The decoration enhances traditional elements of the Portuguese culture, including Bordallo Pinheiro porcelain pieces inside and two “azulejos“ (glazed tiles) panels outside, created by the artist Paulo Ossião. Meals are served on Vista Alegre tableware.

Outside, settled within a magnificent surrounding, the terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a modern and relaxed evening.
