The 5th Edition of Operafest, an "out of the box" opera festival, arrives in Oeiras and Lisbon. Under the direction of soprano Catarina Molder and produced by Ópera do Castelo, this edition brings new stages and has as its motto "Fatal Instinct".

Its program begins in the Gardens of the Marquês de Pombal Palace, in Oeiras, with "Cavalleria rusticana" by Mascagni, "Clowns" by Leoncavallo, and, for the youngest, "Little Thumb" by Isabelle Aboulker. In the open-air amphitheatre of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, you can see Mozart's "Don Giovanni". The vast program also includes the absolute premiere of the performance cantata "Tormento", from Canto V of the "Lusíadas", "Five Ways to Die of Love", Opera XXI Marathon, Cine-operas, conference, workshops, debates and the iconic "Operatic Rave".
