Casa das Mudas, a museum dedicated to Contemporary Art, located on a hill with privileged views of the village of Calheta, has on display until the end of September the exhibition Among Collections: Maria Eugenia and Francisco Garcia.

In a set that brings together painting, drawing, serigraphy, lithography, engraving, sculpture, phototype, photography, installation and video, there are 260 works, where we can find names such as Cruzeiro Seixas, Fernando Lemos, Júlio Pomar, Victor Fortes, Marcelino Vespeira, Alice Jorge, João Hogan, Eduardo Nery, among many others, members of a cosmopolitan bourgeoisie, increasingly disconnected from the constraints of the Estado Novo. About 85 of these works belong to the collection of Maria Eugenia and Francisco Garcia, close friends of many of the artists on display.

Here we will discover points in common, such as aesthetic, historical, temporal proximities, as well as artistic bounding of authors.
