António Ramalho, an unavoidable name in handicrafts – great-grandson of the famous Rosa Ramalho and son of the famous Júlia Ramalho, artisans who took the name of Barcelos across borders – presents his first solo exhibition at the Medieval Tower of Barcelos, from May 24 to July 14, 2024.
In addition to the traditional colours that identify the Ramalho family's handmade product, honey and green, the artist added his personal stamp to his family heritage, adding colours such as black and red. In this exhibition he presents truly unique and exceptional artistic creations, in an artisanal production based on tradition, bearing the certificate of "Figurado de Barcelos".
