Vila Nova de Cerveira once again presents itself as a "very noble" land of remarkable Ladies and illustrious Knights, through a unique journey to medieval times, with another edition of the History Festival. This year the event is dedicated to the "Viking Age", and was extended to five days, between 14 and 18 August, taking place in the streets of the historic center.

In addition to the medieval procession, the program also includes a diverse set of theatre shows, music, royal falconry, juggling and acrobatics, snake demonstration, oriental dances and crafts, as well as merchants, tavern keepers, artisans and various associations.
