This event is a unique project that combines training with a diverse cultural program of the highest international standard. For a week, the city of Alcobaça becomes a meeting point for musicians of various nationalities who take part in the Academy. This consists of daily Masterclasses and Workshops, led by renowned artists and teachers specializing in low brass, who are also present at the festival's concerts.

In addition to the valuable interaction between established musicians and young talents, the event offers a program open to the public with daily recitals and concerts. These moments showcase the sound universe of low brass, in formats ranging from chamber music to jazz, revealing new technical and interpretative approaches. Instruments such as the tuba, trombone and euphonium take center stage here, demonstrating all their richness of sound and versatility.
