Events

The Valpaços Festivities, in honor of Nossa Senhora da Saúde, are one of the largest pilgrimages in northern Portugal. They offer visitors a wide range of entertainment, with musical and sporting shows.

The highlight of the festivities is the majestic procession of Nossa Senhora da Saúde, which begins at the Mother Church and ends at the Nossa Senhora da Saúde Shrine. Also noteworthy is the carrying of the venerated image of Nossa Senhora da Saúde from her chapel in a candlelight procession to the Mother Church. There's no shortage of musical entertainment either, with concerts for all tastes.
