In October, Castro Verde hosts the secular Castro Fair.

The sale of products from small businesses and family industries, woolen blankets, cheeses and dried fruit, tinware, earthenware, agricultural implements and rustic furniture are all on offer at this fair, which is almost four centuries old.

As well as the entertainment and atmosphere of the fair itself, there will also be a cultural program featuring initiatives that are already a hallmark of this event, such as the Cante Alentejano, the viola campaniça, Algarve folklore and the bands performing.
