This initiative offers a unique opportunity to get to know the work of the charismatic choreographer Vera Mantero, bringing together various works and moments of reflection on her artistic career. In the piece presented, Vera Mantero, Henrique Furtado Vieira and João Bento explore mythological imagery, moving between earth and atmosphere, with the body as the central link in an investigation of the unconscious. Raised on ladders and in apparent nudity, the performers make words resound that seek a language beyond the verbal.

Three iconic solos by Mantero will be presented: A mysterious thing, e.e. cummings said (1996), which provokes the biography of Josephine Baker; Maybe she could dance first and think later (1993), inspired by Beckett and the improvised expressiveness of the body; and Olympia (1991), the result of a dialogue between Manet's painting and Dubuffet's book Asfixiante Cultura, which seeks to awaken the public to the essence of art.
