The Penamacor Vila Madeiro event, promoted by the Municipality of Penamacor, returns for another edition between December 6 and 25, bringing lots of festivities, tradition and joy.

The "Madeiro" is a deep-rooted tradition in Penamacor, an authentic symbol of unity, celebration and community identity. The Madeiro Parade ends with its deposition in the churchyard of the Igreja Matriz, a gesture full of symbolism. During these days, this ritual includes festive parades and moments of conviviality, bringing generations together. The event has many other attractions, such as a Christmas market, music, exhibitions, traditional shops, taverns and much more.
