Another edition of the Serra da Estrela Cheese Festival is back in Oliveira do Hospital city center, with a strong focus on internationalizing the event, especially in the Iberian market.

The event, which aims to reaffirm itself as the main tourist attraction in the central region, has as its king of the festival what is considered to be one of the best cheeses in the world - the Serra da Estrela PDO cheese - and expects the participation of hundreds of exhibitors of endogenous products, sausages, Dão wines, honey, handicrafts and lots of gastronomy. The thousands of visitors expected to attend the festival will find a variety of initiatives, especially cheese and Dão wine tastings, shearing and live cheese making, and animal exhibitions.
