The 26th edition of the European World Travel Awards for 2019 was held in Madeira, at Belmond Reid's Palace. For the 5th year in a row Portugal has been rated the World’s and Europe’s Best Golf Destination at the World Golf Awards. In the fifth edition of the World Awards dedicated to golf, which has been held since 2014, Portugal has again been singled out as the best country in which to play golf, in Europe and worldwide. Portugal is the great winner of the World Travel Awards 2017 final, having won World’s Leading Destination award.
