Events

Alcobaça is once again a meeting point for tuba, trombone and euphonium students and performers who will be able to have a unique formative experience with some of the most relevant artists and pedagogues of today. For a week, they will have the opportunity to take masterclasses with two renowned artists, interacting and perfecting their technique with a luxury lineup, selected by artistic directors Sérgio Carolino and Hugo Assunção.

The guest teachers for this edition are Warren Deck, Cristina Cutts Dougherty and Oren Marshall (tubas), Brittany Lasch and Maxine Troglauer (trombones) and Jukka Myllys and Thomas Rüedi (euphoniums).

Among artists, trainers and students, the 2024 edition already has participants from 9 nationalities: Portugal, Spain, United States of America, United Kingdom, South Africa, Germany, Finland, Switzerland and France.
